‘We are a family who love, believe and achieve together’

Our Mission Statement reflects the family values and welcoming atmosphere of our school. We are ambitious for our children to achieve their best, and we ensure this is done in a loving and nurturing environment.

Our dedicated staff work together to provide a primary school experience to savour for our pupils. As a result, our children develop spiritually, emotionally, physically and intellectually.

We now require two highly-motivated and enthusiastic teaching assistants to further strengthen our caring and hard-working team.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate how they will contribute to our school by living out our values of AMBITION, KINDNESS, TEAMWORK and RESPECT in their daily work. Candidates would also be expected to be supportive of the Catholic ethos.

All applications will be considered and while SEN experience would be an advantage, relevant training will be given to the right candidate. We would also provide a supportive work environment where colleagues notice if you need help and where you can have time to attend your child’s assemblies and sports days.

The two roles would be to provide varying amounts of general classroom support, as well as 1:1 support for pupil(s) in receipt of high needs funding. Your responsibilities may include:-

  • Supporting pupils during lessons in English, Maths and across all areas of the curriculum
  • Leading 1:1 and group intervention programmes
  • Feeding back to the class teacher, maintaining records of progress and behaviour
  • Working with children to support any social, emotional, behavioural or medical needs
  • Fulfilling EHCP support
  • Liaising with parents and external professionals

More information about our school can be found at our website www.smwprimary.net or on our Twitter feed @SMWprimary.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be subject to DBS checks along with other relevant employment checks.
