Computing

We are programmers and digital creators at St Margaret Ward.

Our Computing curriculum enables our pupils to be best equipped to be a digitally literate part of the increasingly digital world.

Through our curriculum, we ensure that our pupils understand the concepts of computer science, can demonstrate understanding of digital systems and are able to express themselves creatively, while developing their ideas, using technology.

We want our children to be confident, competent, and responsible users of information and communication technology - with a strong knowledge and understanding of their own safety, security, and digital footprint.

Our Computing Policy (click on the link) gives more detail about how the subject is taught as part of the National Curriculum at

In addition, below is the long-term plan for Computing topics taught as part of the National Curriculum in the different year groups.

The Progression Map below outlines the progression in computing skills as part of the National Curriuclum.
